In 1821 El Salvador declared its independence from Spain.
I am a great land owner. Coffee is my biggest export.
As coffee plantations grew many farmers had to endure starvation and extreme poverty

In 1929 a financial crisis caused a slump in the price of coffee. Peasant farmers starved which resulted in protests.
30000 of our people were killed in a few weeks.
After the uprising of 1929 military regimes were created. Many people died because they wanted civil rights which they didn't get.
El Salvador became a very corrupt place to live. The military murdered, beat and imprisoned the poor people.
Isn't it great to have wealth and riches.
