  • Tom! That's your tenth cigarette today! Shouldn't you quit the smoking?
  • One for every packet I had to copy for my boss John.
  • Tom! That's your tenth cigarette today!
  • Tom you need some self control. You can't stop smoking! The kids need you and I need you! Promise me you'll quit smoking.
  • I promise I'll quit smoking.
  • Jeez, I can't believe I smoked two packs yesterday. I've got to stop my smoking.
  • Tom is addicted to smoking. Everyday after work he will stop buy a local bar to smoke the stress of the day away.
  • Alright kids. Self Control is an emphasis on asking people to set up personal systems of rewards and punishments to shape their own thought and actions. The first step is to define the problem. Step two is to set up a behavioral contract. And that kids is self control.
  • Dad! I need help with my psychology homework. What's self control?
  • Tom's wife Lisa wants him to quit smoking. She is afraid for his life.
  • It's so weird to see you not smoking Tom. Although, I'm glad you stopped. You were starting to scare me
  • Well John, I finally learned to have self control. Now my kids are doing very well in school!
  • So, Tom retraced his steps and counted how much he truly smokes. He has finally admitted that he has a problem and that he needs to fix it.
  • He has realized that his aggressive smoking is triggered by stress at work. So Tom has made a pact for himself. Everytime he feels the urge to smoke he will help his kids with their homework.
  • Within the course of a couple of months Tom's smoking has stopped completely.
  • Now Tom's kids have graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA. He continues to live smoke free.
