May 17, 1915, A British ocean liner, Luistania sunk by Germany off the South coast of Ireland.
On April 6, 1917, Congress declared war on Germany.
On January 8, 1918, Woodrow Wilson presented his peace plan for the war. The “Fourteen Points."
On November 11, 1918, the German military leaders agreed to stop fighting.
The Treaty of Versailles was signed on May 7, 1919. This treaty did not include Wilson’s points. The Leagues of Nations was formed from this treaty. The Treaty of Versailles brought an end to World War I.
