A year later on his journey to find the Green Knight, Sir Gawain stumbled upon a castle where he spent the night.
"Could I please get some rest and food in our lovely castle?"
"Why of course! In exchange we will play a little game."
Each day Sir Gawain and the man would exchange what they won. Sir Gawain kept the green girdle for himself!
"Thank you very much ma'am!"
"Sir Gawain, I bestow upon this green girdle which will make you invincible and a kiss for good luck!"
The man at the castle was the Green Knight! He spares Gawain's life and hope he will learn from his mistake.
"Sir Gawain, you lied to me, but I will spare your life as you are a great Knight. Be sure to learn from this mistake."
"Thank you Sir. I will return home and work to become the best knight ever!"
