  • Exposition
  • Annie Sullivan meets her ¨pupil¨, Helen Keller, and Helen Keller was about to meet who she later called Teacher.
  • Helen Keller wants the doll that Annie brought her, but Annie wants Helen to actually know what doll is. Annie spells d.o.l.l. into Helen's hand. Helen spells d.o.l.l. back into Annie's hand only because she wants the doll. She does not know that d.o.l.l. means doll as in a toy for Helen.
  • Conflict
  • Rising Action
  • Helen struggles as she learns how to fold a napkin. Disappointed, Annie stays teaching Helen for the next hour as she learns how to fold a napkin.
  • Climax
  • After years of teaching Helen how to do everyday chores and how to make food, Annie finally taught her how to, as shown, wash her hands by herself.
  • Falling Action
  • Annie took Helen to a school for blind and deaf people so Helen could talk to the other kids how she learned how to speak, read and write.
  • Resolution
  • After years of being doubtful, Helen graduated college and inspired many more people with her disabilities to do what people thought was impossible.
