This was made for Mrs. Kindig's 9th grade English class.
Odysseus and his crew set off from the island of the Lotus Eaters.
They land on an island of Cyclopes, Odysseus' men want him to leave because of the Cyclopes. Odysseus is stubborn and wants to stay so he can see the beasts.
Odysseus, in his pride decided to stay in the cave against his mens' wishes to leave because he wanted to see the monster.
Odysseus and his men made camp in a vacant cave and waited for the cyclops that lived in it.
The Cyclops returns and traps them there. He then eats six of Odysseus' men
Odysseus and his men escape the cyclops and run for their ship.
In Odysseys' selfishness, he yells insults at the beast against his mens' wishes causing the cyclops to lob a boulder at their ship. Despite this they get away safely.
