1876- Queen Victoria proclaimed empress of India 1907-Railway companies were expanding and taken over by the Government 1913-New Law prohibits Indian immigration to S. Africa
1920-Gandhi creates Satyagraba, "firmness in truth" 1928- Jawahafal Nehru drafts a plan for a free India 1947- Establishment of India as independent
