  • I wonder what kind of volcano that is. A Shield Volcano, a Cinder Cone volcano, or a Composite Volcano?
  • Based on my research, I think it's a Shield Volcano because it looks like a wide, gently sloping mountain.
  • Which happens from lava pouring out of a vent and hardening on top of other layers.
  • Oh, I thought it was a Cinder Cone Volcano because it looks like a small mountain. Also it looks like ash, cinders, and bombs have built up around the vent.
  • Nope, that's a Shield Volcano but let's keep walking.
  • This sandwich is pretty good.   I hope to see a Composite Volcano later.
  • Later that day around noon...
  • Yeah, those are pretty cool because they have layers of lava alternating with layers of ash.
  • Don't those look like calderas?
  • Oh yeah, I think they are because it looks like a volcano fell there.
  • I think there's some geothermal activity happening over there too. I think this because there are geysers and hot springs over there.
  • What a great way to end the day. Thanks for letting me tour with you!
