The man did not hate the old man, but it was his eye. Something about his eye. It seemed as though it resembled a vulture, a pale blue eye with a film over it. It had droven the man crazy.
For seven nights the man watched the old mans eye, but every time he found it closed.
On the eighth night, the man's thumb slipped upon the tin fastening and the old man sprung up in the bed.
When the man decided to move, he picked up the lantern to find the vulture eye open.
The man stood still without moving a muscle for a long time. He never heard the old man lie down.
He immediately sprang closer towards the old man, dragging him to the floor and killed him with the heavy bed on top of him.
Once the old man was dead, the man dismembered the corpse
The man took up three planks in the florring to hide the corpse.
The neighbors have complained of a shriek, may we search your house?
The man could hear the old mans heartbeat below him as though he thought they could hear. He stopped the officers straight in their track and lifted up the planks and confessed to the shriek.
