What is YOUR Dream?
What IS my dream?
An African American man is doing his daily routine of making boxes at work. His shift finally ends so now he can go home.
He goes into the break room and sees this poster that says "What is YOUR American Dream?" He has never thought about this before, but now he is actually starting to think what his dream is.
He goes home, the topic of 'What IS my American Dream?' still on his mind.
He gets some sleep and dreams of becoming a doctor one day.
He goes into an interview for an internship but gets denied because of his race and his religion. "a people have been willing to remain, who have lavished their lives and fortunes for the establishment of their civil freedom" (Thomas Jefferson).
He is determined to live out his dream of becoming a doctor one day. In today's society the American Dream is still a relevant ideal because if one is willing to put in the effort to improve themselves and get to point they want in life, then they can achieve anything they want.
