Storyboard Text

  • Redemption
  • It was all pretense sir, I never saw no devil.
  • Do you mean to say the court has been fooled?
  • Pride
  • "Our Lord in Heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done"
  • Lies and Deceit
  • " I CONFESSED!!"
  • "My husband did not have an affair, he is a good Godly man"
  • Marry Warren confesses to the court that the girls and her self were lying about people they accused doing witchcraft. This redeems her becasuse even though she is forced she was still trying to do the right thing.
  • Lust
  • "I'd sooner cut off my hand than touch you again"
  • John and the two other women being hung recite the Lords prayer. This was meant to show that they were not witches. This is an example of Pride because they would rather hang than confess. This allows them to hang onto their pride.
  • Hysteria
  • "A yellow bird! Oh no, its stretching its wings!!"
  • After John confessed to having an affair, the court brought Elizabeth out to confirm this. They told her nothing, that wanted to see if she would tell the truth. Elizabeth lied and told the court that John did not have an affair she was just sick and became suspicois.
  • Revenge
  • Abigail and John had an affair. That alone is an example of lust, but Abigail still wants John but he feels guilty and will not continue the affair. Therefore Abigail is lusting after him.
  • "but I remember how you touched me and sweated like a stallion"
  • When Mary Warren confesses to lying the girls start accusing her of witchcraft. Saying Mary is sending her spirit out in the form of a bird that is going to attack them. This is hysteria because the girls start screaming including Mary Warren over something not real.
  • "Abby stop it!!!"
  • Abigail stabbed herself with a needle and blames it on Elizabeth as revenge because Elizabth kicked her out after she found out about the affair. Abigail also wants John, Elizabeth's husband, to herself because she loves him.
  • "Elizabeth Proctor sent her spirit out and stabbed me with a needle!"
