ROMEO AND JUIET ACT 5 SCENE 1
This storyboard does not have a description.
I dreamt my lady came and found me dead- strange dreams that leave a dead man leave to think-
News from Verona! how now, Balthaser? Does though not bring me letters from the friar? How doth my Lady? is my father well? How fares my Juliet?
Then she is well, and nothing can be ill. her body sleeps in Capulets monument and her immortal part with angels lives i saw her lay low in the kindred's vault
In Mantua, when Romeo wakes he has had a very confusing dream. This dream, for Romeo, looks like a glimpse of the future and he believes that fate is showing him what will happen.
Is it e'en so? Then I defy you, stars! Thou know’st my lodging. Get me ink and paper, And hire post horses. I will hence tonight.
Balthaser comes to Mantua with news for Romeo. Romeo greets him gleefully asking about Juliet.
Well, Juliet, I will lie with thee tonight. Let’s see for means. O mischief, thou art swift To enter in the thoughts of desperate men!
Balthaser tells Romeo some horrible new. His Juliet is dead, he saw her burial with his own eyes. She was now lying in her families crypt.
Sell thee poison. Thou hast sold me none. Farewell. Buy food, and get thyself in flesh.— Come, cordial and not poison, go with me To Juliet’s grave, for there must I use thee.
Romeo flies into a rage. He say he will defy fate and the stars and that he will stop at nothing until he does so. This ties in with the theme if love and fate and the image of the star crossed lovers.
Romeo is talking about death and how he will kill himself just to be with Juliet and he talks about how love makes people do desperate and crazy things. There are two sides to love and Romeo is seeing the horrid side at this moment in the play.
Romeo does not believe the poison that he was sold by the pharmacist is actually poison, he believes it is a medicine to heal his broken heart since he can't be with Juliet he can drink this to be with her again.
