This storyboard does not have a description.
My name is Katie Bradshaw. I was 10 years old during the Civil Rights.
All throughout my childhood, I lived in various places. Our family was never really settled down.
It was just my mom, my dad, and me. We had it tough, we moved a lot and were poor.
Like I said before we moved a lot, but from what I can remember, my community was segregated. African Americans did not live in my neighborhood.
At school, I did not go to school with african americans. Later on, when I was in high school I did.
School was segregated. I dont really remember much about it. I dropped out in the 9th grade. From what can remember it wasnt fair at all. The teachers were unfair and I made mostly c's.
Looking back on today I dont see why blacks and whites couldnt associate. In fact I married a black man and had kids.
