The European Rabbit originated in the countries of Spain,Portugal, and Europe.
They were brought to Australia and started breeding and soon the continent was overpopulated with the European Rabbit.
"We didn't want to move to Australia. We were accidentally brought here. Now we are destroying the homes of other organisms". The rabbits are the main cause of a few plants native to Australia being extinct.
Because the European Rabbit population is increasing, they are one of the reasons why soil erosion occurs.
To control the population of the rabbits,the government built a 2,000 mile long fence around an area where they can stay and they sometimes release poisons so that their arnt so many that are damaging the land.
