  • We must protect the colonists rights
  • The Sons of Liberty were organized to help protect the right of the colonists.
  • Respected
  • The Sons of Liberty did several things to protect the rights of the colonists. One of those things was the Boston Tea Party where they disguised themselves and dumped 342 boxes of British tea into the water.
  • Samuel was elected into the Massachusetts Convention, which met to discuss the adoption of the federal constitution.
  • Samuel was known to be respected, but not always liked.
  • Not Always Liked
  • Samuel also served as a lieutenant in 1789 to 1783 under John Hancock. In 1797 he took over as general after John Hancock died.
  • Samuel Adams died in 1803
