  • The Sons of Liberty have a meeting. They discuss what to do about the new tea tax.

  • Something needs to be done about the taxes.
  • This should go interestingly.
  • A British Soldier checks the ship as it enters the dock.
  • New Shipment
  • Oh no! The smugged tea!
  • Making The Next Move
  • Just kill 'em all!
  • I think we dump all of the tea into the harbor. It's just sitting there anyway!
  • Well if no one will get hurt...
  • I don't know that this is the way to protest.
  • The colonists refused to unload the tea and threatened officials to keep it there.
  • The Sons of Liberty meet to discuss the issue that is the taxes from the British Parliment without representation from the colonies. But some are still skeptical. Who are the Sons of Liberty and what are their intentions?
  • The Tea That Didn't Move
  • A new shipment of taxed and smuggled tea comes into the Boston Harbor. A British Soldier comes to check and make sure it is all legal. Why would they need to smuggle tea if the price of regular taxed tea is lower?
  • Planning to Move The Tea
  • The colonists try to decide what to do about the tea taxes.
  • The Sons of Liberty and some of the higher class colonists meet again to discuss what to do about the new shipment of tea and they devise a plan. What do they plan on doing? How will the British later respond?
  • The Aftermath
  • Only one person was caught and imprisoned for the Boston Tea Party, Francis Akeley.
  • The colonists only had a certain amount of time left to unload their supplies and products, since they were given a deadline for refusing to unload. f it wasn't unloaded. Why were the colonists given a deadline to unload the tea??
  • The colonists went to three different ships and dumped all 342 chests of tea into the harbor.
  • A group of 116 men and boys gathered for the Tea Party to discuss what they were going do. They decided that they would sneak onto 3 different ships (Dartmouth, Eleanor, Beaver) and dump all 342 tea crates overboard. The tea they dumped was worth up to $18,000. WHy would they go to all three ships and dump the tea, because now they have no tea?
  • Benjamin Franklin offered to pay for all of the tea dumper over board.
  • There were no casualties to the Boston Tea Party only one person knocked unconscious. Only one person was jailed and Ben Franklin told the British government that he would pay for everything. Why would Ben Franklin offer to pay all $18,000 in expenses for the Tea Party??
  • I Benjamin Franklin offer to pay for the tea my fellow colonists have destroyed...
