Marie was borne in 1867 and in 1891, at age 24, Marie Curie followed her dream and left for Paris

In 1895, she got married to Pierre Curie. They found that mineral pitchblende was more about radioactive than uranium, they also learned way more about radioactivity than known at the time.
They learned more about radioactivity and filled out two elements on the element table (polonium and radium)

She became the first person ever to be awarded two Nobel Prizes. During World War I, Curie organized mobile X-ray teams.
Pierre's life was cut short in 1906 when he was knocked down and killed by a carriage. Marie took over his teaching post, becoming the first woman to teach at the Sorbonne.
She died of radioactivity which taught us that it can be very dangerous. July 4, 1934
