  • The 3rd Estate took down the Bastille for weapons and gunpowder.
  • Declaration of Rights of Man and Citizen
  • "Men are born and remain free and equal in rights. Social distinctions may be founded only upon the general good."
  • Many woman got together and marched to Versailles to get the king and queen and bring them back to France.
  • Reign of Terror
  • Robspierre met with the 3rd estate and vowed to not leave until they got their rights.
  • Coup d'Etat
  • The Declaration of the rights of man was created because the french people wanted more rights and they wanted to reform their government.
  • The period from mid 1793 to mid 1794. Maximilien Robspierre ruled France and many people were executed.
  • A sudden Seizure of political power in a nation.
