  • Ralph and Jack find a boar and have a big chase after him. They do not catch him though. "You'll get back to where you came from kids." (Golding 121) This is a little scary and shows that Ralph and Jack are content on the island.
  • I hope he does not come back!
  • He got away!
  • Jack tells everyone there is definitely a beast. Don't be scared. "The forest near them burst into uproar." (Golding 137) This shows there really is a beast and everyone is scared.
  • Oh no! What're we going to do.
  • There is definitely a beast guys.
  • The boys are dancing and about to attack Simon, they think he is the beast and they do not recognize him. "The boys find themselves eager to take place in this eager yet demented society." (Golding 150) This shows they are scared but interested.
  • Get him!
  • Hey guys!
  • Jack tied up Wilfred and said he is a danger to the tribe. They are also uneasy about killing Simon. "I expect the beast disguised himself, we'd better keep on the right side of him." (Golding 163) They are scared of the beast and are very worried.
  • You're a danger to us
  • Help!
  • The boys take Piggy's glasses and he gets very upset. There is a brawl and Piggy ends up losing badly. "I just need the conch to say this. I can't see no more and I need my glasses back." (Golding 180) This shows Piggy is upset and scared of the way people are acting on the island.
  • Good bye Piggy
  • Help!
  • The boys have totally turned on each other. Ralph is fearing for his life. "Ralph launched himself like a cat, stabbed, snarling, with his spear. He doubled up" (Golding 185) This shows it's time for the boys to leave the island it is getting way too bad.
  • Oh we're coming for you. That's it
  • You will not get me
