  • ...and Jesus lived a perfect live and died on the cross for all of us. You should be like Him.

  • If I want to be successful, I have to be perfect!
  • A+

  • I want to ask for help, but I don't want to be needy
  • Jess's introduction to a new classmate who is different than she is serves as a sort of exposure, and forces her to be vulnerable and confront her fear of difference.
  • Hi! I'm Amy.
  • I am so nervous about my presentation next week!
  • In the process of becoming friends with Amy, Jess is forced to be vulnerable and to acknowledge her own limitations. She learns to be dependent on Amy as a friend.
  • Do you want to go over it together?
  • I feel great about that speech! Thanks for all your help!
  • Jess's friendship with Amy helps her understand that being vulnerable and dependent can be a good thing, and it that deepens her relationship with others.
