Helen! Helen! You cant see!... Or hear!!!! Captain! Captain come Quick!
Hello Annie how are you?
Eat your food with a spoon and fold your napkin!
In this scene Helen was 6 months old and was diagnosed with acute congestion. This sickness caused damage to the brain and disabled Helen so that she can never see or hear again. A few years later though Kate convinced Keller to write to the Perkins institute and got help named Annie.
Yes! She's finally eating like a proper girl. Now its time to teach Helen that things have names.
When Annie arrived she got to work right away and tried to teach Helen what a sewing card was but decided to write a letter instead. Then Helen stabled herself and got upset and staved Annie Kate stepped in and calmed Helen down with a candy right before Annie disciplined Helen.
Yes Helen water! It has a name! Thank, the lord that I finally got that into that thick skull of yours! Now I can put the word into your hands and teach you everything you will need to know about the world.
At breakfast after the stabbing incident the next day Annie realized that Helen didn't have any manners and got everyone out of the kitchen and took all of the keys out of the door so that Helen couldn't escape and taught Helen to eat with a spoon off her own plate and fold her napkin in about 6 hours.
Annie convinced Keller and Kate to let her have Helen alone in the hunting cabin for two weeks and teaches Helen manners. When the two weeks are up Annie begged Keller and Kate for more time but they refused. Later that night at dinner Helen tested Annie and her parents to see what she could get away with. Annie drew the line and James Helen's brother stood up to his father.

This is the last scene and Kate simultaneously received and lost a child because she will no longer have the connection that a mother and child have because Helen wouldn't solely rely on Kate for anything anymore because now she will need Annie to teach her how to communicate with other people.
