  • Ronan sees a stranger walking across a field and wonders who he is and what he is doing here
  • He later finds out that he is a storyteller and he is welcomed by ronans father welcomes him but his mother does not like the storyteller.
  • when the story teller leaves under mysterious situation Ronan askes him not to leave and stay with them for a bit longer but the story teller says that he can't stay because he dosn't want to upset anyone.
  • Ronan dedicates him self to learning as much as he can about the history and legends of Ireland. Also he collects the story's of the storyteller from all over the place and people he knows who have met him or heard him tell a story Ronan also hopes to one day find the story teller again one day.
  • While going to College in Dublin for a history major Ronan's father passes away from cancer and He is very sad and depressoed while at the funeral he gets a message that someone wants to see him when he gets there he finds out that it is the story teller and he tells Ronan that he shall send for him again.
  • Ronan never got a letter from the storyteller sending for him, so he set off across Ireland looking for him and telling his stories and his own. He eventually found the story teller in a hospital in Cork. And he spent time with the story teller and the story teller came to live with Ronan once he got settled  the story teller told him that he could not deny him one more story and he told him that he want to do it in front of every one they knew and met on their travels and that Ronan should go find  his box and read the note in side. ... Ronan read the note and found out the story teller was his grandfather.
