- Her parents looked for a good school for children like her to help her become a normal person. They later found a school off the island called Esther P. Marinoff.

- Being around other people helps Natalie improve her capabilities. " 'Mrs. Kelly says you can take her with you wherever you go, just like any other sister.' " (82)
- Thanks to the help of Mrs. Kelly, Natalie's friends and family helped her change to a nearly normal person.

- When Theresa was showing Moose and Natalie around the island, they ran into Piper. She started to make fun of Natalie and that Irritated Moose.
