  • Challenged to a foot race.
  • No one could out run her.
  • Hippomenes asked Afrodite for golden apples.
  • Atalanta's father wants her to get married but she doesn't want to. Atalanta said that if someone can out run her in a foot race then she'll marry him.
  • Hippomenes threw apples to cheat in the race
  • NO one was able to pass her in the foot race, and when they lost they were killed.
  • Hippomenes won the race.
  • Hippomenes went to afrodite for golden apples that would help him cheat and to win the foot race against atalanta.
  • Hippomenes marries Atalanta.
  • Hippomenes got a magical golden apple to throw at Atalanta when ever he fell behind so that he could get ahead of him.
  • Hippomenes used the golden apples to his advantage and won the foot race against Atalanta and got to marry her.
  • After he won the foot race his prize was getting to marry atalanta and the two lived happily ever after.
