The Man-Killer By: Selena Scott
Grendel was not always the lawless, lonely, loveless shepherd of evil that we know him as....
Grendel was always alone, just him and his birth-giver, until a young maiden ventured into the forest one day near his lair in the lake.
Grendel was immediately smitten with this budding blushing beauty. The maiden befriended the lonely monster.
The two became good friends, and Grendel fell in love with the maiden. However, she started coming to visit Grendel less and less as the weeks went on.
One day, the maiden brought a man with her, and introduced him as her husband. The husband was revolted at the sight of Grendel and banned the maiden from coming to see Grendel again.
Heartbroken and devastated, Grendel vowed to never love any human again and became the angry, abominable, aggressive man-killer we know him as today.
