  • The Raven
  • In dreary night of December, the narrator is sitting on the chair at his chamber door.
  • The narrator misses his dead wife, Lenore and is trying to forget her by reading.
  • Then, the raven came into the chamber.
  • " A grand raven stepped inside, like something from an old tale."
  • The narrator wonders how this bird is able to speak and wants this bird to be gone tomorrow.
  • "The raven, sitting alone on the quiet statue, said only one word as if it had poured out his soul in that one word."
  • After some conversations with the raven, the narrator gets mad because he couldn't find the way he can forget Lenore.
  • "Go back to the shores of hell and leave me alone!"
