  • After the French and Indian war, the British were in massive debt. they taxed the colonists because the war was in the colonies. the taxing was very high and the colonist got very rebelious.
  •
  • The Boston tea party was a protest because of the tea tax. The tea tax was a form of taxation without representation. this means that the colonists were taxed without being given a voice in the government. The colonists threw chest of tea into the water. The colonists dressed like native Americans so from afar they would look like a native American and not a colonist.
  •
  • Because of tense relationships between the colonists and soldiers, and because of the quartering act which made the colonist house British soldiers. An angry mob formed around a British soldier. Who was pelted by insults and snowballs. He was joined by other British soldiers. Who shot colonists. The Boston massacre is often depicted as the colonist doing nothing and being brutally murderd. This was done by people such as John Adams to convince the colonists to fight a revolution.
