Storyboard Text

  • In Denmark, the former King has died and guards have witnessed his ghost. They go to tell Prince Hamlet of it and talks to him. Prince Hamlet learns that his uncle is his father's murderer.
  • Act I
  • Hamlet must avenge his father's death by killing Claudius but struggles emotionally because he thinks he is a coward.
  • "Out of my weakness and my melancholy, As he is very potent with such spirits, Abuses me to damn me."
  • Act II
  • "Turn on the lights! Get me out of here!"
  • Act III
  • Hamlet sets up a play called "Mousetrap" to see if Claudius reveals any signs of guilt from killing King Hamlet.
  • Thinking it is his murderous uncle behind the tabestry, Hamlet stabs a sword through and kills Polonius.
  • "How now, a rat? Dead for a ducat, dead!"
  • Act IV
  • Because of her father's death, Ophelia goes crazy and ends up drowning herself; Her brother, Laertes, wants to be apart of Claudius' plan to kill Hamlet.
  • Hamlet gets Rosencrantz and Guildenstern killed; Laertes challenges Hamlet to a fight; Claudius accidentally poisons the Queen; Hamlet kills Claudius; Laertes is poisons by his own sword; Hamlet is poisoned as well. Prince Fortinbras becomes King.
  • Act V
