Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Conflict/Rising Action
  • Rising Action
  • In an urban apartment in Denver, 7 year old Catherine (As I call her) plays with her new doll, me. The sounds of the cars on the main road couldn't drown out her happy squeals. Her happiness was like an epidemic.
  • Rising Action
  • Is this your doll?
  • 9 years later, everything has changed. Before I knew it, I was about to be donated. I have a plan to make her notice me. While she can't see me, I'll grab her phone and hide it in my box. This is my last chance.
  • Climax
  • Maybe there is someone else out there.
  • I shoved my box open and hopped outside. Then, I swiftly ran to where Catherine's phone sat and dragged it to where my box was. With all of my strength I tossed the phone into my box, and I went back inside without a sound.
  • Falling Action/Resolution
  • Catherine finally realized after half an hour that her phone was missing. She looked everywhere until she finally found my box. Catherine opened it and I saw her for the first time in years. "Catherine, is this your doll?" Catherine's friend said. " Yeah... but she is going to be donated in a while."
  • Yeah...
  • I finally realized something. Catherine is older now and has her future to think about. I know she cares about me, but now is the time to find someone else. Who knows, maybe some other little girl needs a new doll.
  • Turns out, I did get what I wanted. Catherine cleaned me and spruced me up for the daycare center. When I got there, there was activity everywhere. Catherine gave me to a little girl named Nyla. She has dark hair and sparkling blue eyes, which I will see every day.
