It was a cold and rainy day and a girl Sally was walking home from school. While she was walking she saw a dog. As she was walking past him he said something. She thought she was imagining it but it was real.
She got scared and ran away. As she was running away the dog was following her. The dog didn't want to hurt her he just needed a home but Sally didn't know that. She ran towards her house.
When she made it to her house she was about to go inside but she felt bad because it was raining and he was sitting out in the cold. She told the dog if he wanted to stay he would have to not talk at all.
When they went inside sally's mom was at the door. Sally explained everything to her mom and said that the dog had nowhere to go and it was raining outside. Her mom said that he could stay for a few days or until it stopped raining. But Sally didn't tell her mom that the dog could talk.
When they went upstairs into Sally's room Sally said that he needed a name, so they both agreed on rain because she found him when it was raining. That night they both slept in the bed.
A few days later they still had him, then weeks then a month and they still had him so they decided to keep rain as their pet. They both grew to be really good friends and they hung out with each other everyday. Sally never told her mom that Rain could talk, but they lived happily ever after for the rest of their lives.
