How are we going to attack the French this time?
Whatever you say General!!!
The Muslims in Spain for may years threatened the French territories.
In 732, Abd Er Rahman marched over the Pyrenees to possibly end dissatisfaction from the northern boarder but most likely to steal goods from the Franks.
Charles (The Hammer) Martel positioned his Army at a place that he expected the Muslims to pass; at a defensive position.
For six days straight, the two armies just watched each other; neither of them wanted to attack. But on he seventh day, the battle started.
Charles Martel (Who earned his nickname "The Hammer" during the battle) drove out the Muslims to the area between Arles and Avignon.
The Arab Army, led by Abd Er Rahman retreated back over the Pyrenees Mountains after they were driven out by Charles Martel and his army.
