The story of Christopher Columbus' voyage to find America. He finds what he thinks is Spice Island but its really present-day Bahama Island. He returns to Spain as a hero.
King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella agreed to finance Christopher Columbus' voyage as long as whatever land he came to he would bring Christianity to that land.
August 3, 1492 Columbus, his crew and all three ships left Spain and headed westward to find new land.
Christopher gave a reward for the first man who saw land. October 12 a crew member of Pinta seen the Bahama Island and got the reward.
Columbus set foot on what he thought was on of the Spice Islands, a group od islands in Asia. But he was on the Bahama Island.
Here Christopher found new things such as Garlic, Clove, tomatoes. He also seen things like chickens and male cow. But the failed to find riches.
Columbus returned to Spain and the people called him a hero because they thought he had found "a new world".
