  • Prometheus the theive of fire “sin” consisted in the fact that he helped humans despite the orders of mighty Zeus. The lord decreed that fire should remain with the gods and not to be given to men.
  • Crossing the Threshold
  • I can do this myself.
  • He stole into Hephaestus' workshop by burning artifacts exquisite just for some charcoal. He also stole some sparks from the chariot of Helios.

  • He would be punished for his theft. Prometheus was appointed by Zeus.
  • He went about his self-assigned task of protecting and helping mankind.
  • Prometheus covered the bones and other animal parts with “Shiny grease” and disguised the flesh and nutritious parts and wrapped them.
