There will now be a tariff placed on items bought in other countries. They will no longer be held at small prices.
Jackson is ludicris!
Jackson is no good. Why would he place a tariff on bought goods from other countries?
It's 1832. It's time to take a stand to this tariff and take a stand against the U.S government!! We are South Carolina. We are one state but we are not weak!
We congress support president Jackson's so called ludicrous decision. We will now pass an act. The president is now allowed to use military power to enforce his laws!
Maybe we should not mess with the U.S government. We could have a real problem on our hands when going against the military.
You are right...this was silly.
It was a good decision to give up your protest South Carolina. I know you don't like the tariff but my rules are my rules and you guys are going to have to follow it. You guys showed true bravery, but I am not changing my ruling. I strongly defended the union by enforcing this law. You guys are going to have to deal with my ruling, and if you don't like it you are going to have to go somewhere else.
