During a cold front cold weathers bring high pressure systems so that air molecules become smaller and take up less space so more of them can be packed into the atmosphere so we can get sunny days.

Warmer air is less dense than cold air so the warm air slides over the warm air. If the warmer air contains a lot of water vapor than then light rain or snow will fall along the front.

during a warm front the warm weather brings low-pressure systems usually bringing cloudy and rainy days.
