- Where are you going? Can I at least have a book?
- Agh fine here
- I can try and fix it.
- YOU RIPPED MY BOOK!
- No I didn't he did!
- This was the day when Jeffery met Amada and he saw how the bag was filled with books she wouldn't give him one of the books in her bag. He thought she was running away from him but she was really going to school. She finally gave him one of the books and was on her way.
- I'm going to the store wanna come ?
- Stores aren't open yet.
- Jeffery had went to the East end and gotten chased by a boy who was called Mars Bars who took Jeffery's book and ripped a page out of it when Amanda heard this she got mad at mars bar. Jeffery than offered to fix the book.
- What're you doing up so late
- incubating an egg
- When Amanda's parents heard that Jeffery did not have a home they asked him to stay with them. Amanda slept in her twin brothers room Hester and Lester's room. The truth was she was glad to give up her room to Jeffery it gave her an excuse to sleep with her brother's every night.
- Now I probably have buffalo poop on my shoe!
- Jeffery says he wants to run away since Mars Bar and his boys wrote "FISHBELLY GO HOME" on the Beale's house and he did not want them to tease him anymore.
- After he runs away from home he comes back in middle of the night only to find Amanda siting on the couch watching TV. Jeffery than asks what she is doing up and she says "Incubating an egg". After Jeffery goes up the stairs Amanda is finally relived and closes her eyes .
- In the end of the story Jeffery runs away once more and Amanda and Mars Bar go to find him at the zoo. When he says he can't Amada gets mad and forces him to come with her back home Amada is mad at Jeffery on the walk and return home.
