Storyboard Text

  • Lincoln has trouble recruiting men to fight.
  • Nobody wants to fight? Alright, it looks like I will enact a military draft.

  • Let's just say we all get along for the sake of the Union
  • Many abolitionists pressured Lincoln to end slavery immediately. However, he resisted until absolutely necessary in fear of alienating border states.
  • Do it Mr. President!

  • Much like President Lincoln of the Union, Jefferson Davis of the CSA had a tough time getting Southerners to fight. The rich men found loopholes in laws to avoid going to war.
  • Anybody? Please? Someone?

  • What?! The prices are up a dollar from last week!

  • The Bread Riot of 1863- Richmond, Virginia Hundreds of women broke windows and steal food and goods, fed up with Davis. He says he has no money and flings his pocket change into the crowd... Then threatens to shoot them if they refuse to leave.
  • I don't want to open fire, but if that's what it comes to...
