  • Over the years, women have been discouraged because of their gender. Have you ever thought about how different men and women were years ago in their rights to do things, and how men and women have come a long way from then in the 20th century.

  • ¨In 1960, the world of American women was limited in almost every respect, from family life to the workplace.¨ The women's rights movement started in 1848 and ended in 1920.

  • During this time period from 1848 to 1920, people fought and argued over women's rights. And even though the women's right movement ended in 1920, there was still some conflict and others did not agree with it. Women were told they can only do certain things. A lot of women did not agree with this but had to follow the rules.

Women should be proud of themselves because if it wasn't for all of their persistence from like Susan B Anthony, Abby Kelley Foster, and Lucy Stone, I would not have the rights that I have now. For example, like having an education and being able to have the same rights as men.
