- עמלק attacks בנ”י but the פסוק calls them כנענים. (It say that the כנענים lived in south “ישב הנגב” but “עמלק יושב בארץ הנגב”) It does this because עמלק pretended to be the כנענים, they dressed like them, and talked like them. They did this because they knew how powerful בנ”י’s tefillot were and wanted to trick them. עמלק thought that if בנ”י thought that it was the כנענים then they would daven to Hashem and ask Him to give the כנענים into their hands. But it wouldn’t be the כנענים it would be עמלק.
- בנ"י will never figure out that I'm really עמלק. HaHaHaHaHaHa!
- Sorry no more ענני הכבוד.
- בנ”י are confused so when they daven to Hashem they are very general and not specific. They are mourning אהרון’s death and are weak, they also lost the ענני הכבוד wich protect them, because they were in אהרון’s honor. They promise Hashem that if He helps them win this war that they will donate everything that they get to the בה”מק. Hashem accept their תפילות and they win the war. Yay!
- בנ”י have to go the long way, around אדום and they are very annoyed because of the long trip. They complain and say… “משה and Hashem why did you take us out of מצרים to die in the desert”. (This is a problem because they put משה and Hashem together) They continue and say “ there is no water or bread and we are sick of cursed bread”. By “cursed bread” they mean מן because Hashem made a miracle and unlike normal food the bread gets absorbed into their body. They called it cursed because they thought that is would make their stomachs burst. (this is problem because they didn’t trust Hashem, also for the past 40 years nothing happened)
- I wonder if the מן will make my stomach burst?
- “ויתפלל משה בעד העם” and משה davens for them. We learn not to hold grudges and to forgive people, משה was just insulted by them but he forgives them right away sand davens for them. “שלא יהא אכזרי מלמחול”
- I am very upset with בנ”י so I sent venomous snakes to them. Many were bit by the snakes and many died.

- We know that we sinned, we shouldn’t have spoken badly about you and Hashem. Please daven to Hashem and ask Him to remove the snakes.
- It was specifically a snake because בנ”י had negative speech like the snake from אדם and חוה also “ויפרע מכפויי טובה” all foods taste the same to snakes and they were being ungrateful for the one food that can taste like whatever they want.
- משה make a serpent and put it on a pole. Anyone who was bitten by the snake will look at the נחש הנחשת and be healed. (He made a snake out of copper and put it on a pole and it healed בנ”י)

- All of the אמורים were crushed and killed because Hashem made a miracle and made the two mountains come together.
- Hey let’s attack בנ”י down in the valley, they will never see us coming. Wait oh no why are the mountains closing in on us… AHHHHH.
