Storyboard Text

  • The next scenes of this book take place on the island of the Sirens.
  • "Has Odysseus lost his mind? He is essentially committing suicide."
  • Eurylochus and the other crew members hoist Odysseus to the top of the mast as requested, but are confused about why Odysseus would endanger his life.
  • "What has gone in his head?"
  • "What the heck is wrong with him?"
  • Odysseus can hear the voices of the Sirens and roars like a lion to be untied.
  • Eurylochus and crew, untie me! Untie me now! Untie me!
  • La-la.
  • Meanwhile, Helios is melting the beeswax of the crew as the voices of the Sirens becomes louder. Odysseus is still tied to the ship's mast.
  • Now men! I've heard those beautiful sirens sing. Now untie me, damn it!
  • La-la.
  • Odysseus has told his screw to release him from the mast, but they restrain him tighter to the ship's mast.
  • Pull!
  • Pull!
  • Pull!
  • Eurylochus and the crew have tightened Odysseus. Eurylochus also realizes how much Odysseus' ego is a danger to himself and the rest of the journey.
  • "Odysseus has lost his state of mind. He is a danger to himself and everyone aboard this ship. We will all die at the hands of his ignorance and lack of leadership."
