  • In Act 1 in the Tragedy of Macbeth a brave Scottish general named Macbeth (protagonist)receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he will become King of Scotland. Consumed by the actions by his wife, Lady Macbeth (antagonist). The conflict was Macbeth didn't want to kill King Duncan anymore. Macbeth decides to murder King Duncan in his castle to take the Scottish throne for himself when he invites him for the supper.

  • In Act 2 in the Tragedy of Macbeth our protagonist kills King Duncan while he is asleep so that no caught him.  He is so shaken from the consequences of killing Duncan so our antagonist takes on charge to move forward of the plan.  The rising action was that he killed Duncan's guards to prove his innocence and puts the dagger on top of the dead bodies. Banquo then remembers from the witches prophecy that his own children will be crowned thane which creates a conflict of Banquo's suspicion of Macbeth.
  • Our protagonist talking to the murderers about their plan to kill both Banquo and Fleance. In Macbeth's point of view he thinks that Banquo knows that Macbeth killed Duncan. He wantts to kill Fleance so that he can't be the future king.
  • Lines 129-130 "Both of you/Know Banquo was your enemy."
  • Act 3 Scene 1
  • Our protagonist and antagonist discuss their unhappiness with their relationship and current event going on right now.
  • lines 41-42 "O, full of scorpions  is my mind, dear wife!/ Thou know'st that Banquo  and his Fleance lives."
  • Act 3 Scene 2
  • Our protagonist sent the murders to kill Banquo and gave them an extra man if they don't succeed. The conflict was that the mission was insuccessful they didn't kill Fleance but they killed Banquo.
  • lines 31-32" We have lost best half of our/affair."
  • Act 3 Scene 3
  • The murderers then come back to Macbeth's castle and tells our protagonist that they killed Banquo but not Fleance. The conflict is that there is a chance that Fleance may be king in the future since he has ran away. Macbeth then gets furious at them and then goes to his feast. He goes to the feast and in his perspective there is a ghost of Banquo sitting in a chair not saying or doing anything. Which then Macbeth scared of his life keeps on saying go away. Lady Macbeth then says to the guest that he is not feeling good and tells them to leave from the behavior from Macbeth.
