Storyboard Text

  • I'm Beezie, and this is the story on how my village was infected by a pathogen called Cholera it's a pandemic meaning it's worldwide.
  • As you can see I'm human so is everyone else in my village. We all have skin and nose hairs.
  • With out our skin and nose hairs our non-specific defense would be almost to completely useless
  • When I got home, I told my mother about the Plasma B cells, Memory B cells, and how our bodies will fight off the disease. But we need to take care of ourselves as well.
  • We have non-specific defenses just like everyone else like mucus and inflammation
  • When my sisters and brothers got ill, my mother told me to go find the doctor and see what we should do.
  • About a year ago we had a pathogen called Cholera, when it first broke out we didn´t know what to do.
  • When I found the doctor he told me he was out of antibodies for it, but told me what our bodies would do to protect us.
  • ¨Our bodies have these things called specific defenses that consists of T-cells, B- cells, and macrophages.¨
  • He said that our body has these cells that work against the pathogen that entered our body. Within the T cells there are the Killer T cells and Helper T cells.
  • By washing our hands, moving our sewage system, cook our food, boil our water before drinking it, and many other ways we can end Cholera
