"The Most Dangerous Game" By: Richard Connell
Connell introduces the conflict when, "For a seemingly endless time he fought the sea" (63).
Connell tells us that Rainsford is on the island when, "It came out of darkness, a high, screaming sound, the sound of an animal in an extremity of anguish and terror" (63).
Connell introduces that Rainsford is hunting people when he says, "Even cannibals wouldn't live in such a Godforsaken place" (5)
Connell tells us that Rainsford and Zaroff meet when, "Then Rainsford saw the man's free hand go to his forehead in a military salute, and he saw him click his heels together and stand at attention" (8)
