Storyboard Text

  • Everyone should vote for Jefferson because he is fit to be the president. Burr is not, he is just doing it for power.
  • Hamilton
  • Yeah I'm going to vote for Jefferson for sure.
  • Weehawken, New Jersey
  • How dare you try and change Federalist votes to vote for Jefferson. I should be president, not you. I challenge you to a duel!
  • Where?
  • Burr
  • At the dueling grounds.
  • Challenge accepted!
  • I'm not going to shoot him.
  • I'm going to shoot him.
  • The next day Hamilton was taken back to New York and died that day.
  • New York
  • Aaron Burr is guilty of the murder of Alexander Hamilton.
  • Burr returned to Washington D.C. and finished his term as Vice President unaffected by his prosecution
  • I think that the duel between Hamilton and Burr was unnecessary to the situation because it is said that Burr challenged Hamilton to a duel because he wanted to restore his reputation. I do not think that the duel would lead people to see Burr in the same way they use to but look at him as a bad guy because he shot Hamilton. Killing someone is not going to solve the problem, it made Burr look like he was upset that Hamilton was able to influence voters and he wasnt.
