SHHHHH! Tom's got a girl in New York.
Morality is a key theme in the Great Gatsby. Going against morality and doing the wrong plays a big role in Tom and Daisy's relationship ,"Tom'sgot some woman in New York"(Fitzgerald, 15). Tom is not moral because he is cheating on Daisy with a girl from New York.
When Tom takes Nick to go to lunch they take an unexpected turn "We're getting off," he insisted. "I want you to meet my girl" (Fitzgerald, 24). After this Nick meets Myrtle and her friends and they go to Tom's apartment and they drink and make bad decisions.
Tom isn't the only one who's cheating in there relationship ,"went over to Gatsby and pulled his face down, kissing him on the mouth"(Fitzgerald, 116). Daisy thinks that since Tom cheats on her she can cheat on him.
