Hey! Could you lend some time to help me?
Sure. How can I help?
Uhm..you see, I didn't really undestand our lesson earlier. Can you teach me?
Aw! Its fine! I'm willing to help!
Absolute value is the magnitude of a real number without regard to its sign.
So the - and + doesnt matter?
Yes. Because its the distance of the no. from zero. It only asks, "how far?"
The absolute-value notation is bars, not parentheses or brackets. Use the proper notation; the other notations do not mean the same thing.
Example; Simplify | –8 |. The answer is 8! Regardless of the signs.
Thank you so much!
