Storyboard Text

  • Hail Favored one! The Lord is with you.
  • Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. You will conceive in your womb and give birth to a son, you will name him Jesus. He will be called Son of the most High.
  • The Lord will give him the throne of David and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, his kingdom will have no end.
  • How can this be, since I have no relations with a man?
  • An Angel was sent by God and his name was Gabriel. He arrived in Nazareth to deliver a message to the women who was engaged to Joseph; her name was Mary and she was a virgin. He said "Hail Favored one! The Lord is with you."
  • The holy Spirit will come to you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore, the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God.
  • She was very afriad but the angel said, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. You will conceive in your womb and give birth to a son, you will name him Jesus. He will be called Son of the Most high."
  • Nothing will be impossible for God.
  • Gabriel continued on to say, "The Lord will give him the throne of David and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, his kingdom will have no end." Mary was confused and said, "How can this be since I have no relations with a man?"
  • Gabriel said, “The holy Spirit will come to you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore, the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God.” He told her that her relative who was of old age had also conceived a son.
  • He finished with, “Nothing will be impossible for God.” Mary’s last message for the angel was, “I am a handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” Then Gabriel left.
  • I am a handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.
