  • To correctly chill foods, refrigerate any perishable as soon as you get home from the store. It's important to chill foods because you do not want to
  • They can't touch because that will cause cross-contamination. Which means that bacteria from the meat can spread to the veggies and you can get sick. To prevent this, put them on different shelves in the fridge.
  • That's why you separate.
  • Why can't veggies and raw meat touch?
  • Food is safely cooked when it reaches a high enough temperature to kill harmful bacteria. 
  • To make sure that you are safely cooking your food, use a food thermometer.
