  • Limitation of Rights
  • By:Sofia Lopez-Orraca Period 4
  • I disagree. I believe that it would be beneficial because it could save people from getting hurt.
  • I believe we should not limit constitutional rights in the name of National Security.
  • First of all, taking away rights can help security make sure that people are not using their personal devices to plan to harm others as it did for the FBI when they hacked a terrorists' phone.
  • How could it help people from getting hurt?
  • Well, even though some people say it would be an invasion of privacy, allowing the FBI to spy on people would be help us find criminals like it did with a man named Almlak Benitez who tried to use a bomb in a terror attack.
  • How else could it be helpful?
  • Another example as to why it would be helpful is the "no fly list." If anyone is suspected of being a terrorist, they are not allowed to fly or risk the chance of being detained for hours. But in the end it keeps us safe from having to relive the 9/11 incident.
  • Wow, that makes a lot of sense now. Even though it's a bit unfair, it does prevent a lot of people from getting hurt.
