Storyboard Text

  • Exposition Act 1
  • Conflict
  • Rising Action Act 2
  • Murellus and Flavius, Roman tribunes who are friends of Brutus and Cassius, come upon a group of common people running about the street in their Sunday best when they should be walking.
  • Climax Act 3
  • Brutus is the most conflicted character in the play. He is Caesar's friend and looks up to Caesar with admiration. But Brutus also loves Rome and says multiple times that his highest commitment is to Rome.
  • Falling Action Act 4
  • Brutus contemplates the conspiracy in his garden late into the night. He has reached the conclusion that Julius Caesar must die. Brutus can't justify Caesar's; Caesar has just got to go for the public good.
  • Resolution Act 5
  • The crowed of traitorous senators and a bunch of hangers-on surround Julius Caesar just outside the capitol. Decius, a traitor, offers a "suit" or a request from Trebonius to Caesar.
  • Antony, Octavius, and Lepidus are gathered with a checklist of the men they plan to murder for conspiracy. Lepidus agrees that his brother can be killed as long as Antony agrees for his nephew to be killed.
  • The enemy factions-consisting of Brutus, Cassius, and their armies-enter; titnius, Lucillius, and Messala are among them. Octavius asks Antony if their side should attack first.
